Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are valid for the contractual relations between the participants of the festival Alcoy en Tango and Mastro Tango ("the Organizer"). By participating in the festival and entering any venue of the festival, you accept these conditions.

Registration for classes and milongas and other festival activities is completed through a registration system on the website: www.alcoyentango.com.
The spot is guaranteed only once the required amount is paid.

Although it is advisable to register with a partner, you can also register alone. In general, we manage to find partners for participants who are alone.

YIt is not necessary to have a partner to join the milongas.
However, even if 100% parity is not guaranteed, we ensure a follower-leader ratio of 5:4. Therefore, we will block registrations for either role as soon as we exceed this ratio, until this balance is achieved.

Cancellation Policy

Payments/deposits are non-refundable. If you purchased a PASS but can no longer attend the event (whatever the reason), you may sell or give it away. Or you can use it as a voucher for a future edition of Alcoy en Tango or for another event of the Organizer (Alicante Tango Meeting, Nada Más). The same applies for deposits.
In case there is another person who can replace you, the change will be made free of charge. Please inform the change by email to avoid problems at the registration desk, alcoyentango@gmail.com.

Cancellation by the Organizer

In case of force majeure related to the COVID-19 crisis, if the Organizer has to cancel the event, participants will be refunded the total amount paid, minus nine (9) euros.

These 9 euros will be used to compensate for a part of the expenses incurred that the Organizer will not be able to recover (multilingual website, paid advertising, brochures, travel, deposits for the rental of the venues).

In view of the health situation, the organization of the events has become very difficult and uncertain, and we thank you for your understanding and support.

Changes to the program

The Organizer and/or the venue reserve the right to make changes to the published festival program (schedules, artists, classes and venues) when reasonably necessary. We suggest regularly checking our website and the event's  Facebook page for possible updates.

Liability for personal injury and property

All participants attend the festival at their own risk and the Organizer assumes no responsibility for injuries or health problems of participants that may occur during the festival. The Organizer is not responsible for participants' belongings. Claims for damages against the Organizer are not possible. The participants are responsible for damages to spaces, objects and third parties caused by themselves.

Behaviour in the venues

  • Smoking is not allowed in the venues.
  • Please wear dance shoes or clean-soled shoes.

By completing your registration payment, you consent to be photographed or filmed by a photographer/videoographer who may be present at the event. The only objective of these photographs is to portray the events of the Organizer. The Organizer is not responsible for the use of these photographs by external companies without prior authorization.

For the record, the participant authorizes the use of his/her personal image, as it appears in the Organic Law 1/1982, of May 5th, on the civil protection of the right to honor, to personal and family privacy and to one's own image. The acceptance of these general terms implies the authorization of this clause on the assignment of image rights.

Safe environment

We believe in creating an environment where people in the tango community can learn, dance, grow and feel safe. Discrimination or harassment on the basis of sex, gender, national origin, ethnicity, religion, race, sexual orientation or disability will not be tolerated at all. The participants and the Organizer promise to work together to keep the dance spaces and places safe and welcoming for all people.

Protection of personal data

In compliance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data (PDP), we inform you that your personal data is included in a file managed by the Organizer, for the purpose of administrative, accounting and fiscal administration, as well as to send you commercial communications related to our events. Likewise, we inform you that you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition of your information at the e-mail address of the Organizer. If you do not wish to receive our information, please contact us by sending a message to the following e-mail address: alcoyentango@gmail.com
